Dans le cadre des 16 jours d’activismes contre les violences hasées sur le genre prévu du 25 novembre au 10 décembre 2023, le Mouvement Féministe du Mali (MFM) en partenariat avec la Fédérations des Associations de Personnes vivant avec Handicap a organisé un atelier d’information et de sensibilisation sur les violences faites aux femmes et aux filles, les pratiques néfastes qui y sont liées et les moyens de dénonciation.
C’étaut hier mardi 12 et 13 décembre 2023, au Mémorial Modobo Kéita, en présence de la formatrice Mme Djingarey Ibrahim Maïga Diarra, Présidente du MFM ; de Daouda Guindo, Psychologue et Spécialiste en Genre et Développement ; entre autres.
La violence basée sur le genre (VBG) ou violence sexiste se réfère à l’ensemble des actes nuisibles dirigés contre un individu ou un groupe s’individus en raison de leur identit, de gerre. Elle prend racine dans l’inégalité entre les sexes, l’abus de pouvoir et les normes néfastes.
Selon l’Enquête Démographique et de Santé du Mali de 2018 (EDSM-VI), au moins 45% des femmes de 15 à 49 ans qui ont subi des actes de violence physique ou sexuelle dans notre pays, environ la moitié des femmes (49%) de la même tranche, en union ou en rupture d’union ont subi des violences émotionnelle, psychologique, physique et/ou sexuelle.
Quant au Système de Gestion d’informations sur les Violences Basées sur le Gene (GBVIMS), il estime qu’au moins14 264 incidents de VBG ont été rapportés en 2022. Sur ce nombre de cas, les 98% ont été commises sur les femmes et filles notamment 39% de viols et 17% d’agressions sexuelles, Les régions les plus touchées sont le district de Bamako (32%), Mooti(29%) et Gao /Menaka (19%).
Selon Daouda Guindo, Psychologue et spécialiste en genre et developpement, l’objectif général de ce présent atelier est de sensibiliser le grand public sur les violences basées sur le genre que subissent les personnes vivant avec handicap.
Cela, dans le cadre des 16 jours d’activisme, il s’agira de : sensibiliser sur le phénomène des violences à l’égard des femmes vivant avec handicap différentes catégories de violences ; outiller les personnes vivant avec handicap sur les différentes catégories de violences et les moyens de dénonciation ; Informer sur les différents instruments et les mécanismes de protection existant et ; renforcer la confiance en soi des participants à accéder à la justice en cas de violences subies.
Cette session financée par le Mouvement de la Gondation pour une Société Juste (FJS) concernera les cas spécifiques des femmes vivant avec handicapes (femmes vivantes avec handicap physiques, auditifs, visuels, albinismes et de petites tailles),
Pour Mme Kadidiatou Coulibaly dite Katoucha, Secrétaire générale adjointe de l’Union Malienne des Associations et Comités des Femmes vivant avec handicap (UMAF), non moins membre du Mouvement des Jrunes Féministes du Mali (MFM), c’est deux (2) jours de formation sur les VBG sont exclusivement consacrés aux femmes vivant avec handicap s’inscrit dans le cadre de la commémoration des 16 jours d’activisme pour oes VBG. Selon elle, les remarques sont portées sur le fait que les femmes vivant avec handicap sont plus victimes de tous types de violences, quotidiennement que les autres femmes.
A l’en croire c’est la raison pour laquelle elle a approché l’Association Femmes et Droits Humains (FDH) de oes accorder ces deux jours de formation sur : 《 les concepts clés des VBG, catégories, causes et conséquences ; les VBG en lien avec des situations d’handicap ; les instruments et mécanismes juridiques de protection ; les techniques de ka confiance en soi ; et les recommandations. 》
Pour sa part la Présidente du Mouvement des Féministes du Mali Mme Diarra Djingarey Ibrahim Maïga rappelé que le MFM, initié en 2014 a pour objectifs de favoriser l’avancement de l’égalité entre hommes et femmes, de promouvoir la diversité, d’encourager la lutte contre la discrimination au sein des mouvements de femmes d’Afrique de l’Ouest francophone en générale et ceux des femmes maliennes en particulier et de mettre en place des processus, des stratégies de mobilisation efficaces, pour mieux positionner la question des femmes dans l’agenda politique global.
Le Mouvement profite des journées commémoratives pour sensibiliser et faire des plaidoyers.
Elle dira que, les 16 jours d’activisme contre la violence faite aux femmes et aux filles commencent le 25 novembre, Journée internationale pour l’élimination de la violence à l’égard des femmes et se terminent le 10 décembre, Journée internationale des droits de I’Homme. Le thème national retenu pour l’édition 2023, est « Rôle et responsabilité des femmes dans la lutte contre les violences faites aux femmes et filles en période électorale >>> et celui international est << Investir pour prévenir la violence faite aux femmes et aux filles».
A l’issu de cette formation, des recommandations seront été formulées en direction du grand public, des cibles et du gouvernement.
